MKC Law Group was successful in establishing that a commercial landlord had made numerous fraudulent representations to a large commerical tenant as to the leased property. Under the Consumer Fraud Act (CFA) the damages are punitive and are trebbled (multiplied 3X). In addition, under the CFA the landlord is liable for the commerical tenant's attorney's fees and costs, along with additional damages incurred by the commerical tenant in relation to the fraud. Based on this high exposure and liability, the commercial landlord agreed to pay a significant settlement to the commercial tenant.
MKC Law Group represents diverse corporate entities in commercial real estate matters, including leases, purchase and sale of property and related litigation matters.
